Rev 20:1-2 And I saw an angel coming down out of heaven, having the key to the Abyss and holding in his hand a great chain. He seized the dragon, that ancient serpent, who is the devil, or Satan, and bound him for a thousand years.
Dan 7:25 He will speak against the Most High and oppress his saints and try to change the set times and the laws. The saints will be handed over to him for a time, times and half a time.
Rev 13:5 The beast was given a mouth to utter proud words and blasphemies and to exercise his authority for forty-two months.
Then, the rider on white horse and his armies will fight against the beast, the kings of the earth and their armies. The beast and the false prophet will be captured and thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur, and the rest of them will be killed(Rev 19:19-21).
Rev 19:19-21 Then I saw the beast and the kings of the earth and their armies gathered together to make war against the rider on the horse and his army. But the beast was captured, and with him the false prophet who had performed the miraculous signs on his behalf. With these signs he had deluded those who had received the mark of the beast and worshiped his image. The two of them were thrown alive into the fiery lake of burning sulfur. The rest of them were killed with the sword that came out of the mouth of the rider on the horse, and all the birds gorged themselves on their flesh.
After the beast, the dragon's cat's-paw, is captured, then the dragon and his armies come out and surround armies of God, but fire comes out from the Heaven and devours them. The devil is thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet have already been thrown(Rev 20:9-10). Then, a long-cherished desire of God is finally accomplished.
Rev 20:9-10 They marched across the breadth of the earth and surrounded the camp of God's people, the city he loves. But fire came down from heaven and devoured them. And the devil, who deceived them, was thrown into the lake of burning sulfur, where the beast and the false prophet had been thrown. They will be tormented day and night for ever and ever.
